Noida’s International Film City, A New Dawn Of Indian Film Industry!

India is on the brink of a cinematic transformation with the development of the International Film City along the Yamuna Expressway. Spanning 230 acres in Sector 21, Yamuna City, this state-of-the-art facility is set to become a central hub for both Indian and global film production, offering advanced infrastructure and top-tier amenities.

Project Vision and Leadership

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is spearheading this ambitious project. Notably, renowned filmmaker Boney Kapoor’s Satyam Cineplexes Private Limited has been awarded the contract to lead the development, with the concession agreement finalized in June 2024.

Designated Zones

The Film City is meticulously planned into two primary zones:

  • Industrial Zone (75 acres): This area will house specialized studios for music, editing, visual effects (VFX), and special effects, addressing every technical requirement of the film industry.
  • Commercial Zone (155 acres): Envisioned as a cultural and creative nucleus, this zone will feature venues for film premieres, international film festivals, upscale retail spaces, and luxury accommodations.

Cutting-Edge Facilities

Designed to support all stages of filmmaking, the Film City will offer:

  • Advanced Music and Editing Studios: Equipped with top-tier equipment and acoustics for superior sound production and editing.
  • VFX and Special Effects Studios: Facilitating innovative visual storytelling techniques.
  • Premier Venues: Spaces dedicated to showcasing films on a grand scale, including arenas for premieres and film festivals.

This initiative aligns with YEIDA’s commitment to enhancing Uttar Pradesh’s economic and cultural landscape, aiming to attract filmmakers, content creators, and investors globally, thereby transforming the region into a vibrant creative hub.

Timeline and Investment

The first phase of the Film City is slated to be operational by 2027, marking a significant milestone for India’s entertainment sector. YEIDA has emphasized transparency in the contract awarding process and has established a clear development timeline.

Opportunities Ahead

Beyond serving as a filmmaking center, the Film City is poised to be a catalyst for employment and tourism. By establishing a world-class ecosystem, it aims to boost local businesses, foster global collaborations, and redefine entertainment production in India. For investors, this represents a pivotal moment in the region’s real estate evolution.

As the foundation is laid, anticipation builds for this visionary project that promises to usher in a new era for India’s film industry.
